US Masters Tournament 2010 - 3 nights

Event Date: Thursday, 8 April 2010 - Saturday, 10 April 2010

Event Info

2010 US Masters

The US Masters Tournament, also known as The Masters, or The U.S. Masters outside of the United States, is one of the four major championships in professional golf. Scheduled for the first full week of April, it is the first of the majors to be played each year. Unlike the other major championships, the Masters is held each year at the same location, Augusta National Golf Club, a private golf club in the city of Augusta, Georgia, USA.

Jack Nicklaus has won more Masters Tournaments than any other golfer, winning six times between 1963 and 1986. Other multiple winners include Arnold Palmer and Tiger Woods, with four each. Gary Player, from South Africa, was the first non-American player to win the tournament in 1961.

Tour Hosts
MARK ALLEN
Mark Allen is well known to Victorian golfers as host of popular SEN radio show, Chasing Birdies. He turned pro in 1990 and played tournament golf around the world for 15 years. He had success in the US, Europe and Asia. He rates his 5th Place in the 1993 Australian Masters at Huntingdale as one of his more memorable Australian Tour performances.

He has played in a British Open in 1999 and hosted Channel 9's television coverage of the US Masters in 2002. He is well known by golfers on all the world tours and will provide a great resource on how best to view the tournament.

His reputation is fast growing as Australia's premier golf host and hosted the 2007 US Open for Network 10.

He believes every golfer should make the pilgrimage to Augusta National at least once in their life.

DAVID WREN
David has been an Australian PGA Full Member for 25 years. He travels extensively both as a Professional Golfer and personally. He believes travel is a gift to our generation and considers his trip to Augusta for the Masters as an annual highlight.

He has hosted trips to China, India and Augusta National for the past 5 years and is still amazed by the beauty and excitement of Masters week.

His personal passion for travel is visiting third world countries. He has summated 3 mountains in the Himalayas over 20,000 feet and has completed bike crossings of Vietnam, Tibet, Nepal and South America.
